Bohemian Solo Artist from the North Country Returns To Alberta

Prairie Bohemian, Krista Hartman, writes songs that are epic films for the soul. Her music breaks in on listeners like Prairie elixirs, steeped the in the dirt, skies, moons, and perennial scenes of love and loss that bind us all together. Miss Hartman is about to release her second full-length record, 'Nostalgia.' Produced by Don Kerr, Toronto's favourite producer (Eye Weekly, November 2007), it features a compelling duet, 'Broken in Two', with two-time Juno Award winner, Ron Sexsmith. It also features some of Canada's most talented musicians: Luke Doucet, Todd Lumley, Jason Mercer, Chris Bartos, William Sperendei, and Don Kerr. 'Nostalgia' possesses Hartman's strongest collection of songs to date. Her work moves comfortably between various musical genres, proving that there is little need to conform with orthodoxy to be endearing.
